2025 UCSF World TB Day Symposium

Description: Curry International Tuberculosis Center (CITC) will co-host the UCSF World TB Day Symposium with the UCSF Center for Tuberculosis. The theme for this year's event will be: Strengthening TB Programs: Breaking Down Barriers to TB Care. The program will feature a keynote speech, a panel by TB Research Advancement Center's Early-Stage Investigators (TRAC ESIs) as well as discussions on the socioeconomics of TB and on highlighting the role of community health workers and patient advocates.

Registration for in-person participation is limited and pre-registration is required for all participants. To register for either in-person or virtual participation, please click the Apply button at the top of this screen. Note that you will be asked to log in if you haven't already done so. Early notification will be provided until room capacity is reached. 

Registration Deadline: March 10, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time 

Cost: There is no fee for this event. Lunch will be provided for in-person participants.

Credit: CME and Nursing CEU credits are not available for this event.

Target Audience: This event is intended for all members of the tuberculosis community including healthcare professionals, researchers and advocates.

The Curry International Tuberculosis Center is designated as a Tuberculosis Center of Excellence for Training, Education, and Medical Consultation (TB COE) via a funded cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The Curry International Tuberculosis Center prioritizes learners from the western region of the United States which consists of seventeen jurisdictions: Alaska, Arizona, California (including Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco), Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, and the U.S. Pacific Island Territories.
