March 24, 2025: UCSF World TB Day Symposium

On March 24, 2025, the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) will present a World TB Day Symposium co-hosted by the UCSF Center for Tuberculosis and CITC. Each year World TB Day commemorates the date in 1882 when Dr. Robert Koch announced his discovery of M. tuberculosis, the bacillus that causes TB. World TB Day is an opportunity for organizations of all sizes – from the World Health Organization to local health departments – to raise public awareness about the devastating consequences of TB, and to step up efforts to end the global TB epidemic. The theme for this year's event will be: Strengthening TB Programs: Breaking Down Barriers to TB Care

Participants may attend in person (at the UCSF Mission Bay campus in San Francisco) or virtually. Registration is open on the CITC website.

CITC’s schedule of upcoming trainings offers a variety of training opportunities for clinicians and public health providers.
