This is the first in a series of virtual TB Case Management and Contact Investigation Intensive (CMCI) trainings occurring during 2024. These trainings are part of the Curry Center’s CMCI core training, which is designed for tuberculosis case managers and public health nurses who deliver case management services to patients with active or latent TB within the public health setting.
This training is an entry-level session intended for nurses and other healthcare providers who are within their first year of providing TB case management services for active or latent tuberculosis.

[virtual training] TB Case Management and Contact Investigation Core Training Module 2
This is the second in a series of virtual TB Case Management and Contact Investigation Intensive (CMCI) trainings occurring during 2024. These trainings are part of the Curry Center’s CMCI core training, which is designed for tuberculosis case managers and public health nurses who deliver case management services to patients with active or latent TB within the public health setting.
This training is intended for nurses and case managers who provide care to persons undergoing evaluation and/or treatment for latent TB infection (LTBI). It is an entry-level training for nurses/case managers within their first year or two of providing tuberculosis-related prevention and care services. This training will cover the fundamentals of diagnosing and treating LTBI. Participants will also apply what they learn in large group activities to reinforce the concepts.

This training is intended as an introductory training covering the basics of latent TB infection (LTBI) diagnosis and treatment for physicians, nurses, and other licensed medical care providers who manage patients at risk for TB. Interpretation of IGRAs (vs. tuberculosis skin test) and treatment regimen choices are discussed and there is an opportunity to apply this information in case discussions.

This is an entry-level training for nurses/case managers who are within their first year or two of providing TB case management for patients with active tuberculosis. This training will cover the fundamentals of medical and case management of patients with drug-susceptible tuberculosis. Participants will also apply what they learn to case scenarios to reinforce the concepts.

The Bridges to Build series originated on a call to action to focus on cultural and structural humility, as well as meeting patients where they are. The past three iterations have focused on TB in African American patients, TB in Binational patients, and TB in the Asian and Asian American communities. This training focuses on the Pacific Island (PI) community’s experience within the continental United States, access to care, and the quality of care they receive. We will share specific strategies for clinicians and programs to consider so that TB care for PI patients can be improved, leading to better health outcomes.

This 2-day workshop is intended for supervisors, managers, nurses, physicians, or other tuberculosis public health professionals who lead teams. This workshop will focus on Brené Brown’s book, Dare to Lead. It will review the 4 different sections, reflecting on the overall concepts and linking them to the public health environment. Participants will evaluate the health and well-being of their team and how to best support their team as a leader. The workshop will allow time for reflection, connection, and sharing. We strongly encourage participants to read the book before the workshop.
